Emory University Scholars Program

Emory College, Oxford College, and the Goizueta Business School offer partial to full merit-based scholarships and membership in Scholars Programs to incoming first-year students through the Emory University Scholars Programs.
The purpose of these highly selective programs is to provide financial awards, dedicated programming, and distinct opportunities to exceptional students with a history of academic excellence and outstanding extracurricular engagement. Selection into an Emory University Scholars Program comes with the expectation that each scholar will use the resources and support provided by the Program to fulfill their potential. Scholars are challenged to utilize their talents to impact the Emory Community, Atlanta, and beyond. Applying

When applying to New York University, it's important to note the application deadline is January 1, and theearly decision deadline is November 1. Scores for either the ACT or SAT test are due January 31. The application fee at New York University is $70. It is more selective, with an acceptance rate of 35.5 percent.


※ Depending on your educational background and the program you are applying to, you will need to provide the following:
  • Official score reports (see NYU’s standardized testing requirements).
  • English language testing if you have not completed at least 3 years of study where English is the sole language of instruction and English is not your native language.
  • Official transcripts of all college work that you have received academic credit for.
  • An audition, portfolio, or other additional requirement that might be necessary for the program you’re applying to.
  • The Common Application Mid Year Report with updated transcript. This should show your first semester senior year grades. Have your counselor submit the report by March 1 through the Common Application.

    Applying

    When applying to University of California--Los Angeles, it's important to note the application deadline is November 30. Scores for either the ACT or SAT test are due January 15. The application fee at University of California--Los Angeles is $70. It is most selective, with an acceptance rate of 18.6 percent.

    Minimum admission requirements
    Freshman applicants will be required to complete a minimum of 15 yearlong "a-g" courses in grades 9-12. Seven of these courses must be taken in the last two years of high school. Students must complete:
    • A) History/social studies
    • B) English
    • C) Mathematics
    • D) Laboratory science
    • E) Language other than English
    • F) Visual and performing arts
    • G) College-prep elective

    • ※ Students applying for admission to the fall term must take their admissions tests no later thanDecember of the senior year/last year prior to high school/secondary school graduation, preferably earlier. It is unlikely that scores from tests taken after December will arrive in our office in time for our review process.
    • Students should report ACT and/or SAT scores on the admission application, then request that an official copy of the scores should be sent to us from the testing agency. Official score report sent to one UC campus will be shared with all campuses a student applies to.
    • We require all scores and will use the highest scores from a single administration.
    • For the ACT Plus Writing test, we will focus on the highest combined score from the same test administration.
    • For the SAT Reasoning Test, we will focus on the highest total score from a single test date.

    Scholarship
    In order to be considered for admission, applicants must have earned a minimum GPA of 3.0 (3.4 for nonresidents) in all "a-g" courses completed in grades 10 and 11, with no grade lower than a C. We award extra grade points for grades received in approved honors-level courses to a maximum of eight semesters, including no more than four semesters taken in the 10th grade.

    Applying is free, and many students are surprised to find out what they're eligible to receive. Whether or not you think you’ll qualify for need-based financial aid, it’s still a good idea to apply — it’s the only way to you'll be considered for every type of aid possible.
