H 학생의 비하인드 스토리
실력 향상 정확하게 진단, 수업후 결과 매번 부모님께 리포팅.
학생들이 연락해서 수업을 받는 경우 부모님께 리포팅이 되지 않지만, 부모님께서 연락해서 수업을 받는 경우는 부모님께도 매번 수업 결과와 실력 향상 결과가 이멜로 리포팅 됩니다.
그날 수업 때 Perfect 받아서 기쁜 경우도 있지만, 항상 결과가 좋은 것은 아니겠죠.
찰스샘도 학생들에게 가끔 미안하긴 하지만, 그래도 정확하게 실력을 진단해 부모님께 리포팅합니다.
부모님과의 대화와 꾸중이 때로는 학생들에게 실력 향상의 자극제 될 수 있기 때문입니다.
이는 모두 학생과 찰스샘 그리고 부모님이 합심해 학생의 목표대학 진학을 위한 것입니다. ^^

TOEFL you will be required to submit a current score (no more than two years old) of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). The minimum TOEFL score expected of most departments of Columbia University is 600 (written) or 250 (computer version).
Statement of Purpose or Essay The purpose of the essay is to give the admissions committee a clear picture of your background, desired study plan, and your ability to write correctly in English. The essay is to be written by you, in your own words. Each school has a different writing requirement which will be defined in the formal application.
Letters of Reference These should be obtained from present or former teachers (in most instances) who are familiar with your academic background. Each school has its own form on which the letter is to be written and it is included in the formal application.

Boren Scholarships
eligible, an applicant must be a U.S. citizen at the time of application, a high school graduate, enrolled in an accredited undergraduate degree program in the U.S. through the duration of the scholarship period, and applying to a study abroad program that meets home institution standards in a country outside of Western Europe, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand. Applying for the Boren Scholarship requires campus certification, and Columbia undergraduates must submit their online application materials and their supplementary application materials by an internal deadline usually one or two weeks before the national deadline.
The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program offers grants for U.S. undergraduate students of limited financial means to pursue academic studies abroad, with an aim to helping them prepare to assume significant roles in an increasingly global economy and interdependent world.
