2016 MIT 등록금 & Financial Aid

2016 MIT 등록금 & Financial Aid 정보

If admitted to MIT, we will make sure that you can afford to come to MIT.
That's a strong statement with which to begin this page, but it's also true. MIT is committed to being financially accessible to the students that we accept. If you belong here, then we will work with you and your parents to help you finance your education.
There are three principles that govern financial aid and admissions at MIT. They are:

Need Blind Admissions

The admissions process at MIT is need-blind for all students, foreign and domestic. This means you will not be disadvantaged in the admissions process because of your financial need. We won't admit you because you can pay full-freight, and we won't deny you because you can't pay a nickel. It's your mettle, not your money, that gets you into MIT.

Need-based Aid

MIT only confers financial aid on the basis of financial need. We do not award money based on any measure of merit - academic, athletic, artistic, or anything else.
You may qualify for private scholarships based on your merits; if you do, then they become part of your financial aid package. Many students use FastWeb to search for outside scholarships.

2016 - 17 CALTECH 등록금,장학금 & Financial Aid

2016 - 17 CALTECH 등록금,장학금 & Financial Aid 입니다

      COST OF ATTENDANCE

TYPES OF AID

Financial aid is available to all students to help cover the cost of attending Caltech.  There are three main types of aid offered at Caltech:
  • Grants & Scholarships - monetary gifts that are based on demonstrated financial need
  • Work-Study - an allotment of money that needs to be earned each year by working on-campus or at other eligible institutions
  • Loans - borrowed money that will need to be repaid with interest after leaving school

GRANTS & SCHOLARSHIPS

The majority of financial aid awarded to Caltech undergraduates comes from grants.  Grants are considered "gift aid": they do not have to repaid or earned.  Because of this, grants are the most beneficial form of financial aid.
All scholarships and grants at Caltech are need-based, as the Institute does not have a merit aid program.  Undergraduate students who fill out a financial aid application will be automatically considered for scholarships and grants from Caltech and the federal government.  Grants are also available from state governments, but the application process varies by state.

Dartmouth Scholarships

Dartmouth Scholarships are need-based and are given without expectation of repayment. Amounts range from $1,000 to over $50,000, depending on our determination of your eligibility.

Dartmouth Endowed scholarships

Some Dartmouth students will be selected as recipients of one or more of our over 750 endowed scholarship funds. These awards are not additional money, but indicate that the aid already awarded will come from a specific endowed fund. No separate application is required.
Students receiving these scholarships write their donor a note of thanks annually. Many even meet their donors, which can lead to amazing networking opportunities.

Outside Scholarships

Students who receive scholarships from external sources can use these funds to reduce the loan and/or job portions of their financial aid packages. In some cases, outside scholarships may be used to reduce the expected family contribution (EFC), but never below the federally-calculated level. Dartmouth scholarship is only reduced as a last resort to avoid over awarding when all other need-based components of the award have been reduced.

Veteran’s Benefits

Veteran's benefits are included as a resource in the determination of eligibility for Dartmouth scholarship awards. Dartmouth College currently participates at 100% in the Yellow Ribbon Program which supplements GI Bill benefits.

Federal Grants

For U.S. citizens or permanent residents, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the only form required to apply for Federal Financial Aid.
The federal government provides Pell Grants to students who qualify on the basis of financial need as determined by their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (FSEOG) are awarded by the College to the most needy students. They vary in amount but do not exceed $4,000 a year.

State Grant Programs

Some states have need-based grants for undergraduate students which may be used at Dartmouth. State grants may be included in your overall grant eligibility, but are not counted until they are received from the state, at which time they will reduce Dartmouth scholarship, dollar-for-dollar. Contact the Financial Aid Office for the most recent information about your state's grant program.

2016 듀크대학 장학금 & Financial Aid 정보

듀크대학교 장학금 & Financial Aid 정보 입니다

Need-Based Aid
Duke University will meet full demonstrated financial need for a limited number of international students. Each year Duke expects to enroll 20-25 first-year foreign citizens who receive need-based financial aid and/or merit-based scholarships. There is no need-based aid for international transfer applicants.
There are two applicant pools for foreign nationals: those not applying for financial aid (who will be considered for admission along with U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents), and those applying for financial aid (who will be considered in a separate process for a limited number of places in the entering class). Also, foreign citizens who do not apply for financial aid initially may not subsequently apply for financial aid during their time at Duke unless they become U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents. For instructions on how to apply for need-based financial aid, visit the Financial Aid Office website.
Merit-Based : Individuals, foundations and corporations have endowed a limited number of merit scholarships at Duke to recognize outstanding students. Many of these scholarships are based solely upon achievement, while others consider financial need as a determining factor. The criteria for each scholarship have been determined by the benefactors. All applicants to Duke are considered for all applicable merit scholarships. No separate application is required.
While Duke is able to offer limited merit scholarships, the university's primary commitment is to provide need-based financial aid in order to enable all qualified students, regardless of financial circumstance, to receive a high-quality education. Applicants should investigate local and other external scholarship sources such as business, religious, civic and fraternal organizations.
For a list of available merit scholarships, as well as detailed descriptions of each, please visit the website of the Office of Undergraduate Scholars and Fellows.
