Applying
When applying to Emory University, it's important to note the application deadline is January 1, and the early decision deadline is November 1. Scores for either the ACT or SAT test are due January 1. The application fee at Emory University is $75. It is most selective, with an acceptance rate of 26.8 percent.

- Questions and Writing Supplement Section of the Emory University "My College" tab of the Common Application
- A $75 application fee or Common Application fee waiver
- Official high school transcripts
- Official college transcripts, if applicable
- Official scores from the SAT and/or the ACT; if English is your second language, it is highly recommended that you submit results from the TOEFL or IELTS
- Secondary school report/counselor’s recommendation
- Two teacher letters of recommendation
- Mid-year report (due January 22 for EDII; February 15 for RD applicants)
Writing Supplement
Once you have completed the General section under the Questions tab for Emory University, you will need to answer additional questions under the Academics, Contacts, and Family sections. The last section under the Questions tab is the Writing section.
In addition to the Common Application's Personal Statement, applicants to Emory University are required to compose an answer—500 words or less—to one of the following essay options:

We can fear, or we can care." Consider her idea of doing what is in the public interest despite potential cost. Your supplemental essay should provide insight on your character as well as your potential fit with Emory University. Please consider your response thoughtfully, as the Admission Committee has special interest in this portion of your application.
