Third Form (9th grade), Fourth Form (10th grade), and Fifth Form (11th grade) applicants must take the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT). In order to meet the deadline for Early Decision, students should register for a fall test date.
Regular Decision applicants should register for a fall or winter test date. Students should be sure to indicate that they wish a copy of their scores sent to Asheville School. If for reasons of time or geography a student is unable to sit for the SSAT, or if the admission staff feels that additional testing is necessary, we will accept the results from a Wechsler Intelligence Scale for children—Third Edition (WISC-III). This test can be administered by most psychologists.
Sixth Form (12th grade) applicants should submit results from the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT I).
Accepted international students typically score between 90 and 110 on the TOEFL IBT.
