Third Form (9th grade), Fourth Form (10th grade), and Fifth Form (11th grade) applicants must take the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT). In order to meet the deadline for Early Decision, students should register for a fall test date.

Regular Decision applicants should register for a fall or winter test date. Students should be sure to indicate that they wish a copy of their scores sent to Asheville School. If for reasons of time or geography a student is unable to sit for the SSAT, or if the admission staff feels that additional testing is necessary, we will accept the results from a Wechsler Intelligence Scale for children—Third Edition (WISC-III). This test can be administered by most psychologists.

Sixth Form (12th grade) applicants should submit results from the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT I).

Accepted international students typically score between 90 and 110 on the TOEFL IBT.

2016-17 Ashville School 등록금 & Financial Aid

2016-17 Ashville School 등록금 & AID

Tuition
Boarding Students $51,735 / Day Students $31,130

Financial Aid
To be considered for aid, a student must apply for admission and be accepted. Financial need is determined through careful review, using the School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS), a national organization that does initial aid analysis for many of the nation’s top independent schools. At Asheville School, we review the SSS analysis, along with tax records and other information provided by the family, to determine estimated need. All of our aid is in the form of outright grants (which never need to be repaid) and is renewable annually (adjusted for changes to the family’s financial circumstances).

Scholarship
Merit Scholarships
A limited number of Founders' Scholarships will be available each year to new boarding applicants who have demonstrated exceptional character, academic excellence, and influential contributions to their school community through extracurricular achievements. In recognizing this dedication and achievement, these scholarships will further assist families in providing their children with an outstanding educational boarding school experience.

The Award
Each year the Anderson and Mitchell Founders' Scholarships are awarded to new boarding applicants on the basis of academic merit, extracurricular achievement, and character. Scholarship recipients may receive up to $20,000 and awards are renewed each year. No additional forms or supplementary materials are required, as all new boarding applicants will be considered.

2017 St.Paul's School 등록금 & Financial Aid

2016 세인트 폴 고등학교 등록금 & AID

Applying for Financial Aid

Students seeking financial aid in their first year must apply at the time of application for admission. St. Paul’s will notify you of your admission and financial aid award at the same time. All of the required financial aid application materials must be submitted by the appropriate deadlines. We cannot guarantee that a qualified applicant will receive financial aid if the deadlines are not met.

To honor this commitment we will:
Consider a household income of $125,000 per year or less as qualifying for full financial aid.
Families with an annual income of less than $250,000 will not pay more than 10% of their income toward tuition per year.
Meet full demonstrated financial need; there are no gaps between what we determine to be your need and our financial aid award.
Use only grants to meet financial need; there are no loans awarded as part of our package.
To the best of our ability, we make admission decisions regardless of a family’s ability to pay.

English Proficiency & Testing Requirements

All students are required to submit standardized test results as part of the application process. Students should submit SSAT scores (or SAT scores for older students.) It is recommended that all non-native English speaking candidates submit the results of a TOEFL examination in addition to the required SSAT test results.
Phillips Academy does not offer instruction in English as a foreign language during the academic year. Furthermore, the Andover academic program is extremely rigorous. As such, students who enroll at Andover must be highly proficient in the English language prior to entrance. If an international applicant has not attended a school where English is the primary language of instruction (and/or he/she is a non-native speaker of English), he/she should complete, if at all possible, the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) in addition to the required standardized test for the grade to which he/she is applying. Students who are admitted to Phillips Academy typically have TOEFL scores in the 100-120 range. It is very rare for a student with a TOEFL score lower than 100 to be admitted to the Academy.
